  • Motor don´t start!!! Crank position sensor on flywhell (where???)

    Hi freaks,

    I´m again!!!
So, the last problem was the FuelPump...

So, I went in the Garage, took the keys and.... NOTHING...
Than... more one time.... and... NOTHING...

I thought that could be the Fuel pump again... than I made electrical test on all Fuel Pump System... and all are OK!
So... than I test about the SPARK... and... there is NO SPARK!!!

I guess that can be my Crank Position Sensor... but anyone here know where it is located? And if possible can send with picture???

I know that is near to the flywheel... So, tomorrow I will begin with my work... and I hope that this problem could be just dusty on the Sensor...

So.. If anyone here have another idea, please post here!!!
    I´m very thankfull!

It can also be melted ECU fuse, bad grounding, or something more drastical. Does the ECU respond to anything ? Can you get blink codes ?

BTW I'm trying to help and not to scare you . So check that crank position sensor first.

Also there is a picture of engine from the back. Sensor you need is located on the upper left corner near flywheel. BTW I see no way you can get dust on that. I suggest you first follow the wiring and clear connectors under the bonnet. Also you can measure impedance of the sensor by multimeter. Don't know exact impedance, but f it's infinity - i think that black shiny wires are somewhere damaged.

The crank position trigger pin is located on the rear of the flywheel. If this is missing you will end up with a no spark situation. To check if it's still there, remove the starter motor and rotate the engine one full turn. You should see the pin as the flywheel moves past the starter opening. The pin snapped off my flywheel a few months ago. Not a nice job to replace

How can I get the blink code???

Anyone knows how can I test the crank position sensor with a multimeter??? What ist the impedance value???

        Thanks,

          Blink Codes
Have you looked on here for the blink codes?

My ABY did the same this summer and it was the camshaft position sensor behind the cam pulley. Some say you can temporary sort this by pouring hot water on the cambelt area but didn't work for me.

That this located (it's connector) in the place red arrow shows. You cannot test that without osciloscope. My suggestion is for you get your car to one. Now it reminds me catching black cat in the dark ...

P.S. Silly question - maybe ABY has factory immobilizer ? If it stuck - no way ECU will let to start engine. Some warning lamp should blink in dashboard I think.
